Listening to the night sounds.
I'm 2 kilometers south of the highway, but at this time of night, the big trucks rumbling through sound like they are on my road.
I live at the end of the road. There is a logging trail/recreational vehicle trail off that. It isn't maintained. We frequently hear vehicles roaring up there at 3 AM. Where do they think they are going?
The coyotes, owls and whip poor wills fill out the chorus as I make a feeble attempt to get back to sleep.
