I popped over for her party. ( 88 years!) .but didn't stick around for long. There were WAY to many people crammed into her tiny house for my comfort. This gal has a LOT of relatives!
I have one childhood friend who lives here in my community, which is 250km away from where we were raised. We don't see each other often though. My next door neighbour is also from my old hometown. She was two and I was 16 when we moved from that neighbourhood, so we weren't friends. I was pals with some of her older siblings though.
Long time friends are the best, and you can always go back on a quieter day.
ReplyDeleteI have two long time friends, one for 80 years and the other 78 years. They are still in the UK and we have been writing to each other since 1954.
