It has been a busy day. It was sure a beautiful warm day too.
I was up shortly after sunrise, making a tea and heading up the road. I was off to help my Pal. In my hand was a box containing an Easter lily, two Cadburg cream eggs and two chicken pot pies.
It was laundry day at Pal's house. When it took two hours to run one small load I determined that there is something wrong with her machine. I'm not equipped to fix that. I parcelled up the rest of the laundry and loaded it into the car to bring home.
We visited and puttered around. I'm very worried about her. She told me today that she is afraid to live alone.
I stayed until her paramedic arrived to give her a scheduled check up.
M had work to do this afternoon so he was off. I spent most of the afternoon clearing snow and ice. (My arms and back are sure tired of that!)
After M got back home I ran up to deliver Pal's laundry and check up on her. She'd had a wee nap and her early dinner and seemed much better.
We are due for a few days of precipitation so I've got chores scheduled for the home front.
It was a gorgeous day, and the snow just evaporated. There is so much bare ground showing this AM.
ReplyDeleteLots of gravel starting to show on our lane. The bottom end is ankle deep in slush though.
DeleteI see that we had precip overnight, and I think that we may escape the freezing rain that they said was possible. I like how you are helping Pal.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting a lot of heavy downpours last night and today. No freezing rain yet.
DeleteNope, sorry AC, but we have had a day of it. Luckily, not freezing, but grey and cold and discouraging.
ReplyDeleteAre you in the area where the Emergency Responders are doing house checks? They are talking about starting it here.
Why are they doing house checks?
DeleteI love hearing about Pal and how you can help. You are a wonderful model and reminder for us all to reach out.
