MidWeek

I was supposed to go for coffee with Dear Daughter today, but we had snow overnight, and it's starting to come down again. I checked the weather radar and I see a big blue blob coming at us from the direction of North Bay. I'll sit tight today. We will go out Friday

We had another extreme cold blip, but it is warming up again today. Hopefully poochie and I can get out for a short walk in the snow later.

M and I had some errands to run then dinner in town last night. We can't remember the last time we went out to dinner, just us. It has been a very long time. A couple of weeks ago we were out with friends to celebrate her birthday with a meal, but that was different. It was a pleasant meal, nothing outstanding about it. The chef, of course, had to critique the pasta sauce, hahaha.

I have a telephone appointment with my virtual doctor on Friday afternoon to go over some tests I had last week. I'm going to demand a physical. It has been ten years this April since I had one! I certainly have some serious health concerns that can't be checked via a telephone conversation. Primarily the fact that there has been no follow up from my serious pneumonia last spring and I still have a lot of congestion.  Taking decongestants with an expectorant helps to a degree, but my eye specialist has pointed out that those meds are aggravating my glaucoma.  So yes, I need someone to do an indepth look at my lungs and probably change my puffers. Enough complaining about that....

Weekend plans include a birthday dinner for our friend Paul. (It was his wife we celebrated a couple of weeks ago) M, aka Chef, is making two types of lasagna. I'm making my beautiful banana cake. We will enjoy their visit and a good meal.

  1. I just can't believe that your doctor hasn't insisted on a full checkup in 10 years!

    1. I haven't had a doctor. Recently, I was connected to a virtual doctor. I'm registered with a clinic that doesn't have any doctors either!

  2. My poor Joe is fighting a virus. I hope you get some results.
I haven't had a physical for years. Good luck!

    1. There are some ugly bugs going around. My poor cousin has just gotten out of hospital where she was being treated for some dastardly virus she contacted on the plane when she was returning from Florida

  3. The snow didn’t amount to too much. Good luck getting a checkup. I don’t know how it works going from a virtual doctor to a real one.

  4. Yeah, more snow. But at least it is melting off with the increased sun heat. I guess virtual medicine is better than nothing, but not much better. I hope you get your visit and your physical.
