Sunday afternoon

 Dear daughter and I went to the town for breakfast and a bit of a shop.

Her grandaughter has her 5th birthday next week so I need DD with me to make sure I got clothing that fit, haha. 

This afternoon I'm going to steam clean the rugs and upholstery in Ruby. While that dries in the bright sunshine I'm going to get the gloves on and finish cleaning up the garden. The tomatoes and squash are all done. We got a grand total of TWO cucumbers that weren't worth eating. Some potato peelings that got dumped in the old garlic bed grew to be huge. They flowered, now starting to wilt, so there might be a few spuds to pull.

The cat is still among the living.

Weeks End

 Here we are at the Labour Day weekend!

The kiddies returned to school already this week.

We went shopping in a tiny village about 40 km from here. I FINALLY managed to buy a pair of Birkenstock closed shoes! My feet are sore from wearing them today, but that will improve. I've been slopping around for months in terrible footwear. These new shoes will tell my bones and muscles to shape up. I suffer from.planter faciitis and excessive outer pronation. Both contribute to sore feet.

This evening we harnessed up the pup and went for a walk. We are trying to get into a routine.

The cat is still among the living, though barely. If she doesn't fade away on her own before, the vet is making a house call on Tuesday.
