A long walk

The temperature was above freezing and the sun was shining so we harness up the pooch and headed up the road. Our lane is in pretty good shape now. We hope we don't get another big dump of snow.

It was a LONG walk, considering how sedentary we have been this winter. It was nice to see the creek running and the birds are singing their spring song. We saw a woolly bear caterpillar on the road!

This afternoon we are all suffering. Our aching joints are really telling us what awful shape we are in.

Us folks here in Eastern Ontario are kind of holding our breath wondering what Mother Nature is about to throw at us. This incoming freezing rain looks pretty ominous. We learned a few good lessons from "the big one" back in '98. Now that was a serious ice storm. It took out a good chunk of the power grid in E.Ontario!

  1. The frost has really started to come out of the road and it is drying up in places. Still hard to walk around in the bush though.
We are prepped for the storm. Hope it isn't too bad.

  2. Our walk was also a little longer than usual yesterday. I think we are on the fringes of thw storm today. I don’t know which way it will go.

  3. Nice that you could get out for a walk. I hope you stretched before bed, it's the best cure.
Hoping that M.N. doesn't get a mad on and send you bad weather again.
