Holy Moly there are so many grass and bush fires the last couple of days.
This afternoon M could see the "big one" up the "mountain" from his job site. Lots of smoke.
There is now one burning not far up the highway from us. Rosalea I hope aren't getting smoked out. It's a juicy one!
I finished raking and picking up the rubble around the yard today. We are in for some cooler wet days so I was wanting to get it all done.
The pheobes have decided they are going to nest in our garage. We have to get them shooed out before they hunker down.
Hope rain calms the fires down.
ReplyDeleteFires already don't bode well.
ReplyDeleteWhat are causing all the bush fires? It isn't even hot!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. No, didn't see or smell smoke, but the wind was from a southerly direction.
ReplyDeletePatsy, once the snow melts, the forest duff dries out, and until things green up, the bush is very dry. I suspect the fires are of human origin....
The rain we got will help, plus things are visibly greening up this AM.
We were smelling the smoke around dinner hour. Michael could see the Combermere smoke from his jobsite the other day. The fire fighters have been having a fun time with that on.
DeleteBeen outside all AM, and got fleeting whiffs of smoke. Things have sure greened up with that rain.
DeleteStay safe!
ReplyDeleteGrateful for all those who work on these.
ReplyDeleteI hate this. Here's hoping you both stay very safe.
