It was pretty warm today. We saw 8C.
We look outdoors and see so many things we want/need to do. This weather and snow has us rather frustrated. We have a shed full of wood that needs to come in. Once that is done we have a pile across the field that needs to go into the shed. The wood out there is on the potato patch so we're anxious to get that moved.
We took another trip to Sunset Nursery this afternoon. It's so green and lush in there! I bought two more packs of tomato seed and two type of savory. It was a nice place to visit on a rainy day.
I have another grow light coming tomorrow so I set up another table and got busy putting tomato seeds in paper cups. I'm starting tomato plants for several other folks.
The other thing I did was transplant the wee zinnia seedlings into a large flower pot. They are getting a good head start indoors.
This coming week looks warm and wet so we will sure lose a lot of the snow. We found a lost recycle blue bin behind a rapidly melting snowbank. It probably blew there in a wind. I twisted my ankle and foot in the snowbank, coupled with my planter faciitis, has me in some crazy pain this evening. I have new orthotics to go into my Crocs tomorrow.
We talked about the plan to tear off the back deck. It probably has to stay, though a lot of it needs replacing. We have to install a new sliding door, but the sill plate under that needs to be replaced. The deck is attached to that, so some demolition will happen. So much work to do!
You sound ambitious. We’ll have to do yard cleanup soon partly because this town does leaf and littler pickup very early.
ReplyDeleteHow much actually gets done in a timely manner is the issue.
DeleteSame here but you are FAR more productive than I!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly get out of bed today. It's dark and rainy but very warm.
DeleteWhat a grey, rainy, yucky day it is today, Tues. It is duck weather, and there is a pair of Woodies on the pond now.
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful!
