Now that the danger of nasty cold has passed, I am opening my bedroom window a couple of inches at night. (If it's a nippy one I throw a wool blanket on top of the duvet).
I hear the wind speaking in the big pines on the east side of the house.
In the dark hours, I hear the coyotes and wolves calling their family together. The owls across the road seem to tell them to shut the heck up.
As the sky starts to brighten, the roosters crow and the forest birds sing their morning song. If I'm really lucky, a sunbeam hits my face as a wakeup.
What a sweet post.
