Lets get this show on the road

I am so fed up with this restoration company! They are telling me they can't get a masonry contractor to price the job. M.  has been doing some research. He's talked to a couple of contractors. One fellow came out today. We were pretty happy with our talk with him. I've contacted the insurance company about signing off and contracting ourselves.

Our new furnace goes in tomorrow. Did I mention we are in the middle of a raging snowstorm??

    1. They are asking for our estimates. I need to remind them that the roof needs fixing and the drywall that is water damaged and the insulation that needs replacing around the chimney in the attic.

  2. What a bother! Not too much snow here this morning -- light covering.

    1. Heating contractors got stuck trying to back in the lane this morning. I tried to clear a path at the back door so the dog didn't track it in. My shoulder/upper back is going to remind me how foolish I am for the rest of the day. This snow is some ugly.

    2. We are just going to wait until it melts. Snow tires are off the vehicles, snow blowers are put away (perhaps that is how you get it to snow!)
So sorry it has come at such a crucial time for you. Be careful and take care of yourself!

    3. The neighbour broke the snowbank at the head of the lane after the snowplow finally came by. He said it's like trying to drive through lard, this snow is so slippery and stubborn

    1. The old lad across the road went along doing the snowbanks for the neighbourhood. He said it's like trying to plow through lard it's so sticky and heavy. He was offering to do the lane, but it's so soft under the snow. We don't need any more holes from heavy vehicles.
